The Milwaukee Christian Center is a South-side based agency,
which lives out its faith by bringing people together in community where their
lives are enriched, empowered, and strengthened.
Youth Programs
* Kids Place after school
programming for ages 7-12 and Summer day camp
* Teen Nights ages 13-18
* Project Challenge is a program for youth at risk of becoming involved with gangs, drugs or
alcohol.
Adult and Family Resource Network
* Emergency food assistance
* Community Gardens
*Advocacy and referral to
empower families to gain control over their situation.
Senior Adults Program
* The program runs from
9:30am-2:30pm with a noon meal offered.
* A Southeast Asian component
offers E.S.L. classes and instruction for citizenship exams.
* Advocacy and referral help
participants maintain the highest degree of independence.
* Intergenerational camps and
activities have been undertaken in collaboration with Lao Family.
Neighborhood Improvement Project ( N. I.
P. )
* Rehab Code compliant home
repairs such as painting roofing, and carpentry.
* Security measures for the
elderly deadbolts, burglar bars, window pins, and security lighting.
* Ramp Program wheelchair
accessible ramps and other modifications for the disabled.
* Graffiti Removal by
painting, soda blasting or chemical removal.
I became involved with the Milwaukee Christian
Center about ten years ago as I walked a beat in the neighborhood. It was
the genuine love from the staff to the participants and a little nudge from
Kathi that got me involved. Please stop in and become a part of the M.C.C.
family.
